Undescribed species originating from Zamboanga Del Norte in Mindanao, Philippines. It was given the moniker ‘Salamander’ by collector Ayk Albano, but it may also be circulating as Alocasia ‘Zamboanga del Norte’.

SPECIES DESCRIPTION: Grower Nadine Hafke reports that the growth habit is quite unique, in that Alocasia ‘Salamander’ keeps leaves erect longer than most Alocasia before they start to lean over and “bush" out. She also reports that as the leaves mature, the color darkens and shows more silver than pale green.
